The CME Coordinator will provide oversight and coordination of continuing medical education programs in compliance with IMQ CME accreditation standards. Attends and takes minutes of the CME/Library Committee, GME and Departmental meetings. Knowledgeable of regulations, state and federal laws as it relates to ACGME. Maintains and distributes continuing medical education activities. Acts as a resource to the Chair and other members of the organization who participate in continuing medical education. This is a full time position requiring flexibility of hours and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Experience/Training: Must be a self-starter with attention to detail, ability to handle multiple projects and excellent communication skills. Prefer experience in continuing medical education and working in a collaborative medical education environment. Some library experience helpful.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Licenses/Certifications: CME certification preferred.
Skills: Problem solving and conflict resolution skills are necessary. Ability to establish prioritize work assignments. Good working knowledge of medical staff organization. Computer and database literacy is required. Ability to express ideas effectively, orally and in writing.
